Alaska is the largest state in the U.S., with a landmass of approximately 586.412 square miles and a population of nearly 700 thousand people.
Anchorage is the largest city in the state, and for its size, is one of the most diverse cities in the United States. There are more than 90 languages spoken here, and approximately 30% of the population is non-Caucasian.
There are more than 3000 Muslims living in Anchorage with nationalities from all over the world. The first masjid of Alaska will provide much needed space for the growing Muslim community.
We are a very diverse group Masha’Allah. We are close to completing phase 1 of our Masjid and we are currently trying to raise funds to raise about $100,000 to cover electrical and fire alarm system that the municipality is asking for in other to get a certificate of occupancy (CoC).
We need your help to move in before Ramahdan In Sha Allah. After over a decade of trying to build our own Masjid, it would be a blessing to finally pray in it. Jazakumullahu khairan, May Allah reward you abundantly for your generosity.
